Alexa Ratings from the famous Alexa Traffic Rank website, offering a website rank for all these websites on the internet, is not supposed to be that accurate as there's no script to be included for Alexa in our websites to count the number of daily visitors accurately.
Below you will see 2 graphs for Web Analytics, one for the perfectly accurate traffic statistics from Google Analytics, and another one for my Alexa Graph for the last 2 months! so take a look down and note the huge difference in the last month June 2008:

As far as I know Alexa counts only the visitors who have the Alexa toolbar installed also I am starting to think that you get a ranking if e.g your web address has "home" in it it gives a ranking per all the web addresses with "home" in it.That is aside from the really big popular sites like google,amazon,facebook etc,,,,

alexa is accurate in terms of monitoring site visitors but u need to consider also the guidelines which u need to read so that u will know what visitors means for alexa. coz for me personally it is accurate.
