Giving Away Words

I am a blogger who has had some huge numbers. I was up to about 3500 readers a day before taking on a radio show last year, which along with my novel writing and lack of the internet at my home (used the one at the station, but I am a home writer.. so I wrote by hand in notebooks,... quite the culture shock for a guy who has been blogging for years and values the daily contact with my buddies and readers.

Adsense turned down the first site i made because they consider my short stories too adult. I have since split my sites up so some are more radical than others, and would now like to make some money off of them. I believe strongly in my philosophies, went to school for twelve years studying topics my poetry advisor thought I could use to be a powerful novelist. Among them are military intelligence and cults, so I have interesting words in my head/ Going to columbia college in chicago really taught me how to write short stories, and I recommend the short story workbook from there to anyone who wants to avoid paying 10 thousand just to use that book for graduate and undergraduate work.

If anyone out there knows a way for me to make money off blogging, or film makers who are interested enough in my blogs to request scripts I can write them up. I mean, in alot of countries, like Germany, they pay their poets for every reading.... yet here in Chicago, they actually charge the poets a couple bucks to read at some places. Not the readings I used to run.

Good luck...

I'm new to blogging and just want my blog to pay for itself. So far it has costed me money. Its made 14$ from adsense and i'm 160$ in the hole. The only way I know to make money from your blog is adsense. I've seen some sites that pay you for your post but I'm not sure how they work. Maybe google make money with your blog. maybe i should do the same. I dont have the education but just enjoy blogging as it passes the time at work.

I like jazz music and often go out to clubs, drink some rum, and listen to live music. I review the clubs and bands on my website. Before doing this, I either ask the band/bar for permission or email them for permission before I post a review. If I can't speak to them or they dont reply to my email sometimes I still post the review sometimes I don't. Just depends on how I feel and if I have time to do the write up.

Kindest regards, vibe

start a poetry blog and invite others to contribute their poems.

create an ebook on your own top tips for writing and blogging poetry - link this up to clickbank.com or paydotcom.com - just create a simple pdf file and let them do the rest, then promote this to your blog readers at a price. Throw in a bonus or two.

Talk about your poetry blog success at your poetry readings and make sure everyone goes home with a business card detailing your blog URL.

Find other Creative Writing courses (write one yourself) and ebooks and products to promote off your poetry blog. I intend to commence such a blog myself later this year.

Include an opt in box at the top of your blog page to capture readers names and email addresses - follow up with a short creative writing course: seven days of tips, and then email out a weekly poem you've written. Aweber.com will do all this for you.

Create a video of yourself reading your poems of the week along with a few tips for writing and a link back to your poetry blog. Upload this to YouTube and then embed the video into your blog, either as a post or down the sidebar. Do this once a week!

Have some of your poems and writing tips printed into a book or made up as a CD-ROM/DVD and sell this on ebay. You can promote your ebay sales in both your blog and your YouTube videos.

Leave a poem as a comment on many other blogs and write articles on creative writing along with examples of your poems for ezinearticles.com: submit 20 or more a week, of about 600 words length.

Promote yourself as able to give corporate poetry readings and creative writing interactive corporate days. Offer to write personalized poems for people's anniversaries, birthdays and events.

Have some of your poems printed on the front of greetings cards and market these. Sky's the limit!

post links as often as possible http://peanutbuttertoes.blogspot.com/
be helpful, never be an ass, and socialize, try submitting to as many blog directories as possible, and latch on to those already successful in your niche, and as long as you keep your content consistent somebody will keep coming back and you'll keep growing

some good ways to make money on your site is

first have an audio ad, its five seconds, its FREE, the visitor doesn't leave your site(so they can buy something or click on a different ad to make you more money...doubling up), every visitor counts towards you making money, instead of the visitor having to click on something as long as they come you get credit, they dont have to do anything you dont have to do anything, well okay you do, you have to Sign up, takes about ten minutes, you have to add a little piece of javascript to your page, then you have to cash checks. Its real easy I just started my website two weeks ago, only took me ten min. to sign up and add with their step by step instructions. Check out there site http://sellingppp.com/a.cgi?ppp=1222308131 or my site to see it in action. http://peanutbuttertoes.blogspot.com/

second is adsense if you have a traditional blog this works well, since you can tweak the ads to match up with your site. However if you don't have a traditional blog where you write paragraphs about a subject then this is almost useless to the amateur blogger.

third is linkbucks, this company makes it easy to make any link on your site basically a paidclickad, they simply redirect your traffic with a ticker starting at 15 seconds with a button saying skip + their logo and a small ad, the visitor can click away at anytime hitting the skip button. this service is also free. Check them out through my referral. http://www.linkbucks.com/referral/16937/

fourth way i use is swatcash, this is also free, this is a community based group, where advertisers pay you to watch thirty second ads, there is also the opportunity to do REAL surveys(note most surveys on the web just dick you), theres also monthly prizes and other incentives and offers. If nothing else join here for their forums for much better help on how to make real internet money then my five mins of help, seriously ive learned more in a day at there forums than by trial and error on my own in 20 years. http://www.swatcash.com/cash420

Fifth is to do promo blogs on your blogs for other advertisers. First you have to establish your blog and build traffic, then you can accept an advertisers offer to do a paid blog about their product. This is a easy way, but you must be careful doing this, since you can potentially drive visitors away and hurt your reputation if you dont choose the offers wisely.

All the offers i just told you about are free, legit, and easy, check them out and my site
