For traffic, Spend the time to really write good "keyword" content for your site and make sure your title ,description and meta keywords match. Name your page titles ie: www.yourdomain.com/pagetitle.html Keyword Relevant.
Add alt tags to your images and links. Use something like http://www.websitegrader.com to help optimize your site.
I got 15-20 top 10 placements in google and yahoo in one week for keywords like "virtual floorplan" , "virtual floorplans" etc... for my company http://www.evirtualisting.com The Virtual Floorplan Company.
As for Revenue, make sure that your landing pages are clean and easy to navigate. Make sure that the keywords you target are very relevant to your site, so when someone finds you and clicks, they are happy with what they find. Aren't you happy when you click on a website looking for something and you find it easily on the first page!!! also Have forms and ways for them to contact you. There is so much more. I just read alot on the internet and picked and chose what i thought was good info. Good luck..
